About The Role

EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall. All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We are looking for an enthusiast Senior planner to manage a section of our programme within our G2S team on the C2 Central HS2 Main Works Civils NEC3 Option C Contract. This area comprises of a 25km stretch with ~11M m3 of excavation and ~12.6M m3 of fill, 2 Green Tunnels, 7 viaducts and 16 other structures.

Managing one third of this area planning the works with the team, tracking progress and representing that in the monthly P6 clause 32 programme submissions and narrative. Working with as well as reviewing and responding to our sub-contractors programmes. Working across large teams, teamwork and a though understanding of civils is essential in order to understand the competing demands.

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in the delivery of large earthworks / civils schemes (Desirable)
  • Proficient/Advanced level Primavera P6 skills (Required)
  • Construction related qualification (Required)
  • NEC3 experience (Desirable)
  • Time chainage software experience desirable such as Tilos although training will be provided
  • Self-motivated
  • Articulate: Able to communicate complex issues in a clear manner, both verbally and written with internal and external parties. (Required)
  • Analytical thinking: Able to demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving. (Required)
  • Ability to achieve buy-in to work from subcontractors, project teams, the client and other project stakeholders. (Required)
  • Well-organised, diligent, proactive, assertive, well-disciplined and commercially astute. (Required)
  • A team player with a ‘can do’ attitude, outgoing, polite, patient, diplomatic, personable, respectful and flexible. (Required)
  • Good level Excel skills (Desirable - training provided)
  • Strong communicator in English (Required)
