About The Role

EKFB (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.

EKFB are recruiting for a Planning Lead to join our team at the North Chilterns Area. 

You will be the day to day focal point for programme management within the Operational Support Team. You will lead on a wide variety of tasks related to planning, managing, supervising, and coordinating planning team and scheduling related activities. You will also assist play a leading role in performance management and production control. 

You will employ a collaborative approach within EKFB and with Client, Main Works and Rail Systems Contractors, in order to deliver the best value solutions.

You will need to be able to review subcontract programme submissions and provide guidance on best practice. You will also be required to design and manage process flow for reports production and review.

You will be the focual point between the construction and design teams for the management of the programme and delivery on schedule. 
 
You will required to prepare and present progress to the board at regular intervals and identify and present solutions for areas of concern. 

About You

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience and understanding of Major Civil Engineering projects
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques as critical path method and time chainage planning
  • Advanced user of Primavera P6 planning tool
  • Ability to use linear scheduling software packages such as Tilos would be an advantage
  • Good level of understanding of NEC3 contracts in relation to planning and scheduling requirement
  • Professional membership of nationally recognised body Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), Association for Project Management (APM), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) is desirable 
  • A construction or project management related qualification is desirable
  • Experience with Earthworks, Structures and Concrete works would be advantageous
