About The Role

This role is supporting the environment team with all aspects of their delivery and responsibilities through excellent data management skills to ensure data integrity and transparency.  It is a role that supports the strategic delivery of GIS on the project and an opportunity for you to work with the latest ESRI technology and best practices to directly contribute to our environmental targets.
 
You will be responsible for delivery of spatial database management and analyses in support of the environment team. We will need you to apply best practices and industry standards to perform data management and analytical GIS tasks to a high standard.
 
We would also expect you to ensure the effective management of environmental spatial data across the whole project lifecycle. Our client will also require quality assured GIS data from you.
 
The role will require you to develop and document DME workbenches or python scripts to automate workflows and processes. Your support will also be needed to support our supply chain with requests for geospatial data and management of the data catologue.
 
As always, we would expect you to identify and communicate potential innovations to our GIS Manager.

About You

  • Experience in managing large and complex datasets related to the environment
  • Ideally worked with ecological survey data
  • Knowledgeable of industry best practice around data management
  • Familiar with ESRI technologies
  • Degree qualified in GIS (preferably up to master’s level)
  •  Proficient use and knowledge of software such as ESRI suite of applications including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, AutoCAD, FME and FME Server (desirable)
  •  Able to work as part of a team and engage with other GIS professionals on the project
  •  Able to balance competing priorities
