About The Role

At EKFB we’re shaping Infrastructure for a better tomorrow. All four of our partners (Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and BAM) bring specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing, and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.

We’re recruiting for a Performance and Cultural Excellence Programme Manager, to join our Health and Safety team in our Routewide section of works. This role will be based from our office in Milton Keynes. Ad-Hoc travel across our sections and sites will be required. As our sites are remote from towns and villages, we do ask that you hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle to be able to get to the locations.

You will be involved in Project Management such as planning and communicating interventions and key requirements. You will also be required to pick up budgetary management whilst managing key stakeholders and their expectations.

You will be working with the EKFB training Team to support our C23 One Team Induction, where you will be expected to manage the induction supplier, including refinement of content and delivery which will require you to review and approve invoices. Alongside this you will be managing the relationship of our Induction Facility Managing Agent to monitor any maintenance or day to day issues.

As a PaCE Programme Manager, you will be involved in our pulse roadshows which develop collaboration with the supplier and subject matter experts. You will be required to liaise with site contracts to arrange and implement the timetable for delivery across all the project areas. During these sessions you will work with the Managing Director and other key member of the SLT to develop and deliver (to both internal and external) seminars and workshops for the integrated project leadership team, focusing on effective leadership and creating a performance culture. You will also be working alongside the executive assistant team to arrange the deliveries of interventions.

You will be required to attend Ad-Hoc culture and performance events to develop and implement both in-house and external events/ interventions in relation to the PaCE programme targeting specific demographics, activities, or key trends.

A vital part of this role is that you represent EKFB at the forum, liaising with HS2 Safety Culture Working Group to provide insight from interventions and shared learning, to provide a voice on EKFB’s views relevant matters. In liaison with HS2, you will be required to roll out the annual HSE Safety Climate Tool Survey, analyse the results and feedback to the business and HS2 on plans for improvement.

You will also be involved in continual business performance improvement by undertaking research into the field of human factors, culture and performance from other industries and other available scientific resources. From your research you will be required to suggest and implement interventions and changes to physical environments, or processes based on research to contribute to the improvement of overall performance.

About You

  • Passion for and baseline understanding of Human Factors / Culture / Performance Environments
  • Creativity to develop new ideas for interventions to keep content and delivery fresh and engaging
  • Strong project management and organisational skills including supplier management and negotiation
  • Ability to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communicator
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office Packages
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities
