About The Role

EKFB are looking for a Plant Manager to join the Earthworks Routewide team on the HS2 Project. As a Plant Manager you will be responsible for the introduction of effective plant repair and maintenance programmes and servicing procedures. You will be responsible for the management of Health, Safety and Environmental matters within the plant department.

You’ll be required to identify and arrange training for mechanical support staff and advise on plant procurement.

You will head up implementation and application of safety procedures as per company policy. It is essential that you are ensuring that regular inspections of plant and transport are carried out defects noted and rectified with supporting documentation.

Supervision of plant repairs in the depot and at various sites including the preparation for annual technical testing of all plant and transport is an important part of this role. Raising and progressing with plant suppliers warranty and other claims.

We need you to supervise the maintenance of service and technical history records Supervise the collation of lifting equipment and other safety related documentation. We’d also like you to allocate duties to area plant personnel with control of working hours. Liaising with project managers for the correct deployment of plant on site ensuring operators are competent and in possession of the appropriate company authorisation card and hold the relevant driving licence.

It’s essential that you ensure that hired in plant meets all safety and legal requirements prior to delivery to site with special reference to cranes and lifting equipment.

About You

You will have relevant experience of the management of plant maintenance and repair activities, ideally with large mining/earthmoving equipment. Experience of working on either Structures, Highways, Utilities or Earthworks projects is needed.

Good communication and team skills are essential for this role.
