EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We are seeking to recruit a Site Agent in near Wendover in Buckinghamshire, with extensive heavy structures experience. Due to the location of our site compounds, you must hold a full driving license and have access to a vehicle.
As a Site Agent, you will need to assist with the construction strategy, this includes kick-off meetings, pre-commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, Construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.
This position will need to be able to liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate self delivery, labour, plant, materials and temporary works to carry out the activities to the required standards, programme and budget. This role will also need to manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of Sub Agents, site and Section Engineers.
The Agent will assist with the co-ordination of construction operations, ensuring they conform to the contract requirements and the required level of safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) is a key part of this role. This position will also assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, contribute to financial forecasting, key quantity forecasting and measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
The Agent will need to maintain the commercial position with the Employer and subcontractors. Raising Early Warnings as necessary and managing these through Risk Reduction meetings, risk management and eventual close out. The Agent will assist with the acceptance of subcontractor programmes and the preparation of the overall HS2 Clause 32 programme. The Agent will drive the close out of quality documentation contemporaneous to the completion of the works on site.
