We are looking for a Geotechnical Design Manager to join our Twyford to Greatworth (T2G) team based in the Brackley area.
In this role, you will be responsible for the geotechnical scope for large number of primary and secondary assets including Earthworks, Transitions, Cut and Cover Tunnels, bridges and others.
You will be responsible for technical quality and provide technical support for management of topics such as slope stablilisation, heave, settlements, soil nails, counterforts, excavate and replace and other mitigation measures and issues related with the construction development for geotechnical topics.
As a Geotechnical Design Manager you will be attending the weekly CTC meetings, TAA meetings and also attending/chairing meetings for geotechnical issues such as Geohazards that become apparent during construction and provide technical support for their mitigation. You will support the Client with identifying change, risk and opportunities and constantly striving for efficiencies and cost savings.
Another part of this role is to scope review of construction stage GI and Surveys, aid in the study of optimisation and liaison with the commercial, planning, design delivery team, and designers.
You will be establishing close working relationships with Agents, engineers and works supervisory stuff. Supporting the link and coordination with Construction Section Leads for management of geotechnical related issues, GBR items etc.
You will provide technical input and support to relevant commercial communications (SNCs, NCRs, CEs, Departures, etc.). You will be a close liaison with the Engineering Managers to ensure the delivery on time, optimised and in accordance with the Client's requirements is essential.
In addition, you will close out tech debt within area of responsibility in timely manner and review of monitoring reports, geo-certificates, GRR and GFR and to support progressive technical assurance during TLC5 and handover process.
